How Much Are you Worried about Wednesdays Cup Game

Although the game doesnt matter, and we wont see a Man City first team in all likeliness (sp) this has just happened

Manchester City 6 - 0 Portsmouth.

The way of the world of Brighton & Hove Albion, we will probably play well, but this 6-0 scoreline is a bit scary, especially with our like of creativity to break down 8 outfield players

I just dont want to embarress ourselves further and turn away the floating Brighton fans that will be there to watch. Hopefully the Withdean faithfull will be more understanding of Adams and stop calling for his head

We will be annihilated, anything less than a 4-0 defeat will be a moral victory. Whatever the scoreline I won't hold it against Adams in this game though, as we'd struggle not to get thrashed even if we were playing well.

Be nice to put in a decent performance on the way to defeat but I won't be holding my breath. I was really excited when this draw was made but the reality is, with the way we're playing, we have no chance.

I'm not worried at all as I expect nothing.

I think it will be a lot closer than we expect. These games tend not to be a thrashing as we all expect.

maybe 1-3 or a draw and extra time....penalties would be nice

Not worried in the least. Looking forward to it, but was never expecting anything other than a City win.

Yesterday is irrelevant. We'll probably have more room to play than we did yesterday, but we'll still lose.

I was just going to say the very same thing. When a team that's just won 7-0 plays a team that's just lost 7-0 the result is invariably 0-0 or 1-0; certainly it never approaches 14-0 which you might think it 'should' do.

We're the underdogs and everybody's expecting us to get thrashed. Consequently the pressure's off us and on them, if we can keep it to 0-0 for twenty minutes or so, well you never know.

Why do you keep saying the game doesnt matter? It does matter if you have paid 24 to watch it. I go the Withdean to watch the thrills and spills of live football. All games matter to me.
