FRUIT OF THE BLOOM
Stevie G at right back.....

Yeah lets put the best attacking midfielder in World football in the back 4....

Im sure hes pissed off enough as it is in the holding role.

It will and should be the same 11 that started saturday with Carragher in for Neville if hes not fit.

Im thinking Ronaldinho and Kaka may have something to say about that!

I know it will be the same starting 11 but putting Gerrard and getting him to run on with cole would be about as attacking as it gets. Rio and Terry with carrick holding SHOULD be all the defence we need to night.

more a 2 - 1 - 5 - 2 line up is what I was getting at !!

Carragher Terry Ferdinand Cole

Hargreaves

Beckham Gerrard Cole

Owen Crouch

2nd half subs if required would be Rooney for Owen and Lampard for Gerrard or Hargreaves . . . . possibly Lennon for Beckham

still not convinced by Ashley Cole, but theres no one better

I'd rather have Gerrad than Kaka.

Ronaldinho is usually listed as a striker. He plays between the front man and the midfield.

Right now, I see absolutely no reason for taking Beckham off. One, he's the skipper, and a very good one at that, and two, he's in pretty decent form. Agree about Ashley Cole, spent the ENTIRE game dithering and pissing about on the ball against Paraguay. Didn't look interested in bombing on.

Having said that, I don't buy for one second this complete and utter bollocks that Lampard and Gerrard 'can't play together'. I wonder if that said that about Platini and Rocheteau...?

I assume David James in goal was a limp joke, right?

Oh, and play Carrick/Carragher/Campbell/Walcott in place of Hargreaves there.

No joke James for England :clap2:

I dont know that Campbell is mobile enough for holding midfield, Carrick maybe but Hargreaves is better at that specific role, Carragher will play right back in place of Gary Neville and I havent seen enough of Walcott to determine whether he could play holding midfield :)

I find it highly amusing that our fearsomely hard defense ( sic) are mincing and complaining about being exposed so they want an holding defensive midfielder

If it wasn't for our defensive frailties I'd be wanting to see a 4-3-3

Robinson

Carragher Terry Campbell Cole

Beckham Lampard Cole

Owen Crouch Rooney

or something like that . . .

I agree with that, they just need to be disciplined in their approach to the game.... they are our best two central midfielders FACT.

Also as for subbing Beckham........ why ? He is the cracking form and everytime he whips those balls in to the box we look dangerous.

THANK CHRIST YOUR NOT ENGLAND MANAGER!!

Gerrard at right back!! are you having a laugth lol

:lolol:

Interestingly enough Gerrard at right back was the formation Jimmy Armfield was suggesting on Radio 5 live last night, his argument was that against a team like T and T it gave us much more attacking options.

Not sure I agree but the suggestion obviously isn't as stupid as you make out.
