Never even HEARD of Germaine Greer and had NO idea who he played for.

So he MUST be really good then.

He is a good centre half for this level, his plus points are he is great in the air and is very vocal and organized, a good leader. Negative points, not the fastest and can get caught out with a ball over the top, you can counter this by playing a quicker player next to him (cuthbert). He also has the knack of giving away free kicks.

Im 99% sure he isnt leaving us.

I would expect a big part of his appeal to us is his leadership skill on the pitch.

Something our back 4 has been lacking for a few seasons.

And I dont think 250k is too pricey for for a 29 y/o CB.

At that position he could easily have 5-6 good years of football ahead of him.

Could be the second coming of Tank.

Agreed - feels like defence is now pretty much there. Lots of midfielders on the books - but a winger would be nice (Lua Lua please). Plus a proven striker and we're looking well set.
