The radio said the traffic was gridlocked outside the stadium at 6pm but got the P bus home and was back at 6.

Was originally going to get the train in, standing room only at Hove then saw a massive queue in brighton station - how quickly did that move? I ducked out of the station and got the bus at St. Peter's Church.

Got the train at 6. Was ok. Shame they can't put more on though like Millwall do.. seemed a long time between them. And relatively speaking they don't put many people in each carriage which makes for a comfortable journey but longer wait.

Brighton and Hove Buses need to replace the 29 T Wells restricted service and the 29 service that ends in Uckfield with a normal 29 service.

Mithras House park and ride was excellent.

Quite a jam trying top leave A27 eastbound to get to the stadium.
With a 30,500 capacity and the same road layout, it won't cope.

Home in Withdean by 5.35.

Home at 7:30, with the aid of some very helpful fans and a coach to Haywards Heath.

Takes about an hour longer than usual, but completely removes the hassle factor.

Trains were fine. Going out got a half empty six carriager from London Road station @ 12.25. On the way back it was looking a wee bit queuey just gone 6, so got the half empty 18:10 into Lewes and doubled-back on meself. Back at London Road station by 18:45 or thereabouts. Simples.

Have to say the trains have played a blinder so far.

Couldn't get on the 1.10pm at Portslade it was so rammed, but got on the 1.25pm, straight to Brighton, then got on the first connecting train to Falmer so fine. At full time we stayed until 6.30 drinking harveys in the sunshine outside the East stand, and got straight on the 6.45pm straight back to Portslade. Perfect.

What a day, I was absolutely blown away by everything. Just brilliant, the atmosphere was sensational. What a result, still buzzing!

train back to seaford was fine , stewards counting people on to the station platform as not to evoke a stampede seemed to work well , left the stadium at the final whistle home by 6 , it seems southern have laid on extra services and there seemed to be a lot more of the 4 car variety on track rather than the usual 3 car trains used for east coastway services

Racehill p&r was excellent again, although I do think something needs to be done to manage mill road queue tbh. Was not asked for travel voucher in either direction though, was this the same for Mithras and mill road?

We were on the train that was rammed by Portslade.
Connected straight across Brighton stn, to Falmer.

Missed the 16:55 back, obviously.
17:16 was late, but got on it anyway.

Missed a direct connect due to crazy transport police policy, making us walk out onto the concourse before going back to the platform (through an open access point).
Further change at Hove.

Back home an hour-ish later than hoped, but I guess that's probably the worse it's going to get, until we play Pompey Soton et al.

Walked straight on a train from BTN at about 1.30, no wait at all, and was suprised not to need a ticket. Train wasn't that packed. Got train back at 5.30, only queued about 10 mins max, which isn't bad at all considering its a far shorter walk to the station than most grounds.

Impressed, and it'll only get better with more practice (give or take possibly the more tricky away fans).

Got a bus from bottom of Elm Grove no probs at about 1.10pm. to Sussex Uni, walked through the underpass, and over the bridge to the stadium. My knees felt the five flights of stairs up to the WSU tbh, and the concourse seemed a bit rammed. Might be I was passing through a queue for beer at the narrow end of the concourse. Left about five minutes after the final whistle and yomped over the hills to Beven of the Dean, mindful that a shower threatened, but luckily didn't materialise

The open top bus from Lewes was brilliant. A handy pick up point near the pub/brewery, singing and attention seeking all the way to Brighton seafront, a quick comfort stop, pick up a few random Donny fans, more singing and attention seeking along Lewes Road, a handy drop off in time for pre-match wandering about, chatting, a pie, and more beer. And a simple post-match return trip to Lewes, leaving at a sensible time to allow more post-match chatting and beer. And SBTS sung PROPERLY!

Well done to everyone involved in getting this on the road!

And well done to the weather for not turning the open top bus trip into a debacle :lolol:
