Does anyone know the whereabouts of a nice graph showing average house prices in Brighton over at least the last 12 years.

Thanks

Uncle C properties were ay thier peak in late 2005 early 2006 and will probably be a few thousand feet below Marc's graph in early 2009.

This is the average house price index from the Land Registry website. It only goes back as far as April 2000.

Marc and Trufflehound, you gave me a good laugh thanks.

Gully, thanks for digging, you came up with similar to me but these dont go back far enough - shame.

Out of interest, what year did we become a City?

2000 if you want to go back further I bought a flat on Hove seafront in 1993 for £38000 and sold it for 'ahem' in 2005.

Sully, apologies (and I used to watch him play). Your last graph is just what I wanted.

If you are in the know, did commercial properties move at about the same rate as domestic?

Interesting that becoming a City was generally regarded as having a massive effect on house prices, but there is barely an inflection in the graph.
