. At the risk of stating the obvious, we need a new striker who is proven at Championship level and is capable of getting 20+ goals for us; and ideally we need him soon. The start of the season is drawing ever nearer and it would be nice for him to have settled in before the campaign starts.

Go back two years and substitute the word Championship for League One and you have the pre-season comments before we won the Championship. We were all saying the same but one of our underachieving strikers came good....

Let's hope so. Regardless of whether we sign another striker and/or the midfielder we need, I think it's going be a good season. Wouldn't it be great, however, to start the new season with a full pack of cards that the rest of our rivals were seriously worried about?
