and it turns out, they don't like it.

It was in the wash for about half an hour.
I've just retrieved it, and put it on the radiator.
Is there anything else I can do. I'm lost at work, without it.

Best thing is to put it in a bowl of rice and leave it in the boiler cupboard.

My mum has washed two ipods of mine! I have to say you probably won't get it working, I had an extended warranty on both so I have been lucky

Go shopping at Tesco in Shoreham.
It might not work but we may have another great thread out of it.

That's a great idea, Go to Holmbush Tesco and glue your Ipod to the floor TWOCHOICEStom can watch to see if the same criminal comes along? Get's my vote.

The rice+drying room should work, electronics and water don't mix if the electronics is powered on (then the water shorts it and causes damage). If you dry the circuit board for a while (days, to be safe) and don't power it until then, it should be ok.

inside a pillow case in the clothes dryer on low-heat setting? ................................ on second thoughts the rice is probably a better bet
