Lots of great advice about where to go, and so far so good....... but where should he definately avoid?

I'd say the railway bell and grand central, but only because they are a bit shit... Oh and perhaps the away end at the Withdean, if he wants to see anything. There's not going to be any trouble.

That's it. Chaps: send the man to the Hikers. Or the Bulldog.

Similar places.

Crap Town
Crown & Anchor is decent. What is going to happen if SCFC cannot play at Edgeley Park next season and who will they groundshare with ?

If that post by Taybha is not a wind up then I feel soiled. I now wish for you to lose 9-0 and Carlisle to win 9-0 and you lot get the gooner.

Oh and BTW, I recommend that you go for a beer in the Stanmer Park. Lovely friendly pub which has a proud tradition of welcoming random northerners. Just march up to the bouncer and tell him you're looking for Charlie whilst winking and sniffing.

Arthur Brownlow on the BBC 606 is a different Arthur Brownlow to this one.
It's a moniker frequently used by County fans out of respect for the late great
County fan Arthur Brownlow. We just need to sort our Arthur's out. I would
imagine the one on the 606 forum will probably be scratching around in a
darker part of Stockport tomorrow with little interest in making the journey
down to Brighton. There are too many Arthur Brownlows nowadays!!!
We are confusing ourselves. In reality Arthur is alright. Always enjoyed
a drink and his football.

as a swindon fan living in sussex i wish you all the best, Brighton Swindon and yourselfs have all had proper shysters running our beloved clubs into the ground. Fair play stockport you have been some of the loudest away fans at the county ground over the last few years. good luck with your off field stuff.

Cheers for the tips. Very useful.

Not sure if the 606 Arthur was present, but this Arthur was.
All in all a nice day out. My only beef was the view from the away end.

I will be checking the fixture list in June. First step: Make sure County
are still on it. Second step: Fingers crossed that Brighton away is a sunny
weekend game late August or early May!!!

Hopefully see you all again next season.
