Have you ever lost something that has really affected you?

I lost my wedding ring last year too.

Not quite the same reason though

Had a burglary at home 4 years ago. Wife's wedding ring, engagement ring and other jewellery nicked.

Also my camera with photos just taken in first visit to New York and had not had a chance to look at.

Also my lap top which contained a work project was taken and it cost me £1000 in lost wages.

Plus lots of other personal stuff.

I lost my wallet at or near Old Trafford when we played Man Utd there in the FA Cup (1993?). Amazingly someone found it, discovered something to do with BHA inside it and forwarded it to the club, who then sent it on to me. Still had all my cards in it - the money had gone tho!
