Up North
And did those feet in ancient time
Walk upon England’s mountains green?
And was the holy lamb of God
On England’s pleasant pastures seen?

And did the Countenance Divine
Shine forth upon our clouded hills?
And was Jerusalem builded here
Among these dark Satanic Mills?

Bring me my Bow of burning gold;
Bring me my Arrows of Desire;
Bring me my Spear; O clouds unfold!
Bring me my Chariot of Fire!

I will not cease from Mental Fight,
Nor shall my Sword sleep in my hand,
Till we have built Jerusalem
In England’s green and pleasant Land.

Happy St George's Day

St. George's Day is celebrated by several nations of whom Saint George is the patron saint, including Georgia, Bulgaria, Portugal, Catalonia and the Gora. For England, St. George's Day also marks its National Day.

St George he was an Englishman* and before he killed the dragon
He drank a pint of English ale out of an English flagon

(* well actually, he's supposed to have been Turkish)

It's also the anniversary of Shakespeare's birth and death today. It would be more worthy to remember the greatest-ever Englishman.
