Haircuts

I've just had a FINE haircut and paid £18 for the privilege, which I'm reasonably happy with - as long as it looks satisfactory.

So two questions. 1) how much do you pay to have your hair done and 2) do you TIP your hairdresser at all?

I sometimes tip, but feel guilty when I don't. I shouldn't really feel guilty though should I?

So what does NSC think?

I pay my mate Buckley about £35. He's damned good. He's got the tiny little shop in North Road between Wagamama and that new pub down the bottom.

Yes, I bung him an extra fiver usually.

I never tip though, as Ive heard they sell the clippings to B&Q to make paintbrushes. So they do alright out of me as it is.

Toppers for me, £6 and a pound tip. I'd rather set fire to it than pay more than that.

Also, I've never understood why the amount you pay for a haircut increases comensurate with the time it takes. I hate sitting there having some numpty f***ing around with my head and would gladly pay more to get the job done quicker.

Incidentally, my mother has her haricut by an Albion fan, who also cuts the hair of David Gold's girlfriend.

Got my own clippers but on the occasion I fancy it I go to Derek's on Edward Street. Last time I was there he was charging 4.50 a go, 50p tip on top. BARGAIN.
