Of course, I am a giver, not a taker. (In the non-biblical sense).

Any chance I can talk to you about your experiences of voluntary work please ? as you are aware i have been made redundant and it was only today my wife and i discussed maybe me doing something towards that sector.

I have to be honest, I have not a clue where to start regarding it, but I would like to give some of my time to a worthwhile course.

Hopefully hear from you soon, Cheers.

"I have to be honest, I have not a clue where to start regarding it"

Maybe first work out how many hours per week you can realistically spare?
Then look at which sectors appeal to you?
Also what skills you have and how best they can be used to help with the voluntary work?

Looking back my post was a little "below the belt".
I apologise.
I like to fight by Queensbury's rules even on message boards.
ps Congrats on your new arrival.
You are and will make a great Dad.

See above.
I was being conciliatory.
Giving you a way out.
Want to continue with this thread?

Obviously yes? ???

First, identify areas of voluntary sectors you might be interested in?
Then maybe spend a day at a number of different ones?
That way you will get a "feel" as to which one will suit you best and you will find most rewarding?

I was made redundant we should connect

There is something very concerning about you, and the contents of your post's / comment's, especially the comment above !!

And Fazz 62, thanks for your assistance and comments above this post, much appreciated, and I will look into the matter.

Maybe others with time on there hand's should consider giving something back to the community ?

Also meant to say that there is one other advantage of doing voluntary work.
In that if you are "between jobs", future employees will hopefully look more favourably upon you. As, at least you have made the effort to do something constructive with your spare time?
Rather than say. Spending all your time on an internet board abusing fellow posters and spunking your redundancy money up the wall in the bookies?
If you know what i mean? ???
