My old dad used to hate any new music, but would sit and watch Top of The Pops just for Pans People.

Strange that i always thought it was Pams People.

Indeed, silly me

The first troupe was called The Go-Jos, but it was Pan's People - masterminded by Flick Colby - who really defined the role. They made their debut dancing to Tommy James & The Shondells' 'Mony Mony' in 1968, and stayed with the show for nearly ten years.
Pan's People were briefly replaced by Ruby Flipper in 1978 before Colby came up with Legs & Co. and, in 1980, Zoo.
That was a remarkably well written and informative post from yourself. So much so that I soon discovered that it wasn't actually your post, was it.

I'm confused, was it Pans People or Pams People?

This is a big part of my childhood here and i need an answer godammit.

Pan's People.

Whilst on the subject of dodgy dance troupes, I was shocked to learn that Hot Gossip from the Kenny Everett show were choreographed and had their outfits designed by Arlene Phillips of Strictly Come Dancing fame. Saucy minx.

Pam's People were a load of stupid poseurs back then who thought that Pam Ayre's poetry was actually funny.

As the guy said in "Mock The Week": "Poetry? Is it a bit Gay? Discuss".
