Great week for music

I've now given it about 10 listens. I'm tempted not to give it any more. 'Sunhits' makes me want to cut my own head off to stop my ears bleeding.

Can I recommend Leonard Cohen to you? I think you might like him.

The Fall have announced a date at Concorde in November.
Badly Drawn Boy to support Wedding Present at Edge of the sea festival. Same venue. 27th August.

Yes, this is a great week for new gigs as well:

Berlin artist Apparat (he of Shitkatapult fame) at Haunt in October. Check out Orchestra of Bubbles with Ellen Alian. Jeffrey Lewis in August, The Fall as you say and I might check out Wu Lyf. Also got tickets for PlanningtoRock and The Horrors.

Can I recommend Leonard Cohen to you? I think you might like him.

You can try but it won't wash. I know Cohen's good but I've never got into him. Maybe I will when I'm about 60. Same for Dylan, I've tried sveral times but I end up finding him a bit dull.

Ooh yes. 'Without You' was the tune of the summer last year. I see they have an album out too. Have you heard it? If so, any good?

The Art Department album is f***ing excellent.

Also just bought the Horros, sounds like it's gonna grow on me.
The latest Roots album and David Rodigans Dubwize Shower also on the rotation today.

Going into Resident on a nice day with a bit of a hangover leads to spending splurges.

Yuksek is a French DJ/producer who deals in electro pop. Defo worth checking out, especially On A Train.
