I'm suprised nobody seems to have mentioned that certain sections in The South Stand were actually booing poor old Glenn when he came on yesterday. Some of the worms appear to have turned innit.

I was f***ing shocked by this, i dont particularly like his attitude but he scores us goals, why the f*** would you boo him? he could be persuaded to stay im sure but instead we want to give him a shove out the door? some right clueless wankers

I've been one of Murray's biggest critics on here, and long before he handed in a transfer request too, but I found that shocking also. Why boo somebody in the Stripes when he's being sent on to try and rescue the game for us? What kind of message does that send out to the player? Ridiculous.

Whilst I think booing any Albion player is deplorable, I doubt it will bother Murray one jot as he is looking to leave anyway and must half expect fans to be pissed of that he's wanted out almost from the day he got here apparently.

If true that Oldham have signed him then good luck to the lad. I know what it's like if your missus canot settle in another part of the world. Despite you trying your best that nag, nag , nag at the back of your mind can play havoc with your confidence.

, cos he cant keep his missus in order.

What did you mean by that?

When this first came up it was suggested that his girlfriend wanted to go back up north because GM had been putting it about in the clubs of Brighton, true or not I do not know, only what sombody suggested on here previously.

Hmm its a possiblity but I dont see going back up north will make him any less promiscuous if thats the case! If you are going to play away, you will play away.

Was it said GM or could it have been GF putting it about? By the comment if he cant keep his misses in order, that is why I asked what was meant by the comment.

Another part of the world ?
Its only the other end of the M1. I'd suggest if she doesn't like travel, then getting hitched up with a professional footballer probably wasn't the best long-term arrangement for her social wellbeing.

I'm sure she and Glenn both enjoyed the financial benefits of joining Brighton. The least the pair of them could do is make a go of it for the 3.5 years he "committed" to with us.

I dont really get your last comment, its fairly clear neither of them are happy here but he was still here after chritmas and he is still here now, if he is so desperate to be away, why is he still here? i still believe he is in 2 minds and could be persuaded to stay, in which case he would be a huge asset to the team, but instead some idiots want to boo him onto the pitch and basically force out our best player, oh and for someone that doesnt want to be here he still puts the effort in on the pitch, because he has goals ratio to look after, if he went on and did f*** all i might be happier to see him leave

I think Murray is a class act when fit and when motivated unfortunately, he has not been fit for the best part of a year, he is obviously desperate for move due to her indoors...but seriously wo is going to pay what we want for him with question marks over his fitness/attitude.. the best thing for him to do is get himself fit sit his wife down and say look im here till january at the very least..make the most of it until then...if im in the team scoring goals someone may stump up the cash then.. but until then lets just get on with it..

Precisely its all very well being "want away" but someone has to stump up the cash and as far as we know NO ONE has come in for him with a serious offer or met our valuation.

He's still here because we've received no offers for him, which isn't surprising being as he was crocked for much of last season.

Look, I'd much prefer it if he stayed as well. He's a decent striker and they are difficult to come by. But this has been rumbling on for well over a year now. His missus isn't happy down here, so he's not happy. However, Murray and the club are "stuck" with each other for now because we're not going to let him go on the cheap, nor should we (certainly not when the likes of Lambert are going for a million).

I won't boo him, cos at the end of the day, we want him to do well, and if we're going to get shot of him at a decent price, we NEED him to do well. But it doesn't alter my opinion that the club have been mucked about by him and his other half. We laid out a SUBSTANTIAL fee for him at no little risk, he's been injured for much of the time, which isn't his fault, but he's been looked after and sent to the best specialist in Germany to sort him out. Yet he's still moping around "not happy" and (from what Slade said at the forum) having his "moments" during pre season and not training.

I think Murray OWES us.

A perfect example of someone who (rightly) doesnt like him but isnt stupid enough to boo him, booing him does no one at all any good!
