I thought the thread was relatively amusing and the general opinion was not homophobic just mindless banter always going to get the odd few idiots but they do have a point about the Simon Cowell lookalike and the size of his head.

It's the way it has always been and always will be, like it or not.

Just ignore them and don't let it bother you.

The poignant post on that thread is near the end when someone posts that one of the boys in the photo used to be a "Terriers" fan in the 1980's before eventually moving to Brighton. Not a surprise why he moved.

I was just looking to see if they had any more news on Rhodes , and I don't get offended, I just find the gay crap a bit of a bore

Thats not quite true is it. You also linked their forum so the rest of us could see and be offended by it.

What I don't get is why people choose to trawl the message boards of other clubs, and then become self righteous and offended.

Too bloody right.

It's like when Mary Shitehouse and the puritanical mob used to watch TV programmes they knew they'd hate, and then be all 'shocked' by it and go into full rant mode - rather than turn the television off.

I still reckon she had a secret thing for hard-core German porn.

I couldn't give a wet roger whether i was called gay or not. I am only offended by the fact those men were all a bit rank. I reckon we have some hot male fluff down south.

Although I'm not offended, it does lack originality in calling Brighton 'gay'. I'd like too see if clubs can come up with something else!

The one thing that does annoy me is every time people call me gay because I'm from Brighton, or other clubs call Brighton FC gay, they say it as if they think they're the first people to have ever said it! It's not comedy genuis..

Do you think that Cardiff, Swansea and Wrexham are bothered about all the sheep jokes? I bet they have heard them all but opposition fans still chant them week in and week out. Don't worry about it, I won't. I bet they don't either.

Us (Bournemouth) can't really give much grief as we are 4th most gay after London, yourselves and Manchester. There's an HIV hospice in the town, gay area and Pride festivals - which is a good thing I reckon, countering the town's image.

Of course we have the old people stuff. You know, the only town in the country with old people living there. Always get it from fans from middle england shite holes like Peterborough
