Harty will probably start the season at full back, Reidy will probably play either at full back or central midfield and Brittain has not signed yet. So that leaves us with only Frutos so actually we could be quite short on the wings.

Yes, I agree that a loan defender and a striker are probably more important. Maybe it is a way for McGhee to show Brittain that we have other options on the wing and that he is not our only possibility. Might lower his wage demands?

The web report does say we have put in an approach for another central defender as well so it is not only the winger we are looking at.
