Used to witness Maybank, Sayer,and Foster getting pissed in the PLACE CLUB early 70's

First game I saw was the 3-3 home draw against Liverpool in 1980 or 1981 I.

3-1 down and finished 3-3. Cannot remember who scored though !!

Was hooked after that.

Ritchie, Foster and Case I think. Remember that one well. After a 14 hour flight from Singapore, I arrived at Heathrow around 7am in the morning. Come 2.30pm I was on the North Terrace. ( The roof had gone since the last time I was there 2 years previous). I was suffering lack of sleep and it pissed with rain but I wouldn't have missed it for the World.
