Had to wait for my third game to see the Albion score, just checked Tim Carder's site, turns out it was Andy Ritchie versus Ipswich on 28 Aug 82 (my 17th Birthday) and we drew 1-1 in front of 13,641.

1971,a Kit Napier header against Shrewsbury . I think it was Kit's 100th league goal. I was 12 and sitting in the South Stand with my dad.

My first Brighton game was away to Ipswich in Jan '83, I think John Wark score one of Ipswich's goals we lost 2-0

My first home game was a 2-1 defeat by Stoke a few weeks later haven't got a clue who scored it.

Edit: I do not it was Andy Ritchie in front of 14,937 fans at the Goldstone

Yours truly was 2 months and 6 days old. I didn't actually see Ian Mellor's goal, being asleep at the time but those of you there woke me up very shortly after!

Guess the first I properly saw was in March 1985 when we beat Blackburn 3-1 with Young and Connor(2) getting the goals
