I think it was probably either late '78 or early summer '79. The Lambrettas were supporting and yes, there were hordes of scarey looking skins. I can remember one of the them asking where we were from and when we replied Lewes, he told us that he'd been to court there.

The most violent gig of that era was when Sham 69 played Brighton, somewhere in West Street I believe.

I wasnt there as I just didnt like or rate them, but people were getting punched out fairly indiscriminately that night.
