Big fan of Devon and Cornwall for beautiful coastline, beaches, golf and cheap beer. Derbyshire for the Peaks, Cumbria for the Lakes.

Cornwall is horrid - bleak and full of inbred yocels with an inflated sense of importance.

Give me Dorset or Shropshire.

Wales is a country, not a county

I believe SN thats actually a joke :lolol:

Before the weekend I would have said Cheshire without hesitation. Chester's a brilliant place and the whole county in general is beautiful. But the Devon leg of the drive to Plymouth was stunning. I've always been a sucker for a good vista and on Saturday I was truly spoilt.

It rained though so I'll still go for Cheshire. Plus the birds have got nicer accents than that 'oo argh' malarky.

Shropshire - most underrated county in England.

Fabulous countryside, historic towns (Ludlow, Shrewsbury) and the lowest population per square mile in the country.

But it's next to Wales. Surely that must count for something.
