Some people need to do some homework on political theory. Buzzer is right... the far left & far right are very close... it's called Horseshoe theory

The Socialist left in Europe is a bit on the nose it would seem, so it's not a long stretch to suggest the BNP will be surrounded by like minded Euro counterparts in their centre right parties.

It seems right of centre is winning support across Europe.

Oh and FAR left and FAR right are VERY VERY close.

Well done on the diagram Stumpy Tim.

A good recent example is North Korea of a FAR LEFT "democracy"...

We support the re-introduction of corporal punishment for petty criminals and vandals, and the restoration of capital punishment for paedophiles, terrorists and murderers as an option for judges in cases where their guilt is proven beyond dispute, as by DNA evidence or being caught red-handed.

Excellant public beatings again at weekends....... with a midweek hanging.

Sky or Setanta do you think ?

It's all a load of hot air, the BNP or any radical party will never gain control of this country, the majority of people see sense and will defend our civil liberties like in the 30's, they may gain a few voters as a protest against the current government, but when the situation resolves the extremist parties will once again be niche and only the few delinquents will bang their drum.

This post surprises me. Aligning the defending of our civil liberties in the 1939's, with the BNP, and dismissing extremist parties.... I though the 1930's saw the worst extremist parties gathering power across Europe!

I imagine a several of the moral majority also dismissed extremists and wagged heads at their efforts, back then.

I'm curious, does anyone know how the foreign press report or regard our recent parliamentary and ministerial moves?
