Albion just recieved letter saying expect decision early this week if not today. According to Southern FM.

I don't buy that!

Why would they send a letter in the post to say the decision is in the post?

Why not just tell us the feckin decision! This is a JOKE!

The ESSENTIAL requirements for any major development in an AONB are:-

1. That the development is necessary in terms of national considerations;

2. That the development will bring singnificant economic, social and community benefits;

3. That the environmental effects can be suitably mitigated;

4. That there is no other suitable site available.

ALL of these tests need to be met.
Cheers Lord B.
But to what extent does the point of "There is no other suitable site available" have to be satisfied ? The other sites had been systematically researched, discussed and subsequently dismissed at the Inquiry, and this was done all over again when Hoiles report was published and they "invited comments" on it. And then again, when they invited comments on the comments.

If that STILL doesn't satisfy the process, then in theory, whats to stop the objectors playing the "site x is more suitable" card ad infinitum ? How can we finally cross an alternative site off the list - conduct a whole new Public Inquiry in to each individual one and cross them off as we go along ? Then wait while Tarquin Fucktard-Greenpeace suddenly remembers another little field next to the power station that we havn't looked into yet ?

This really is the most eye-poppingly ludicrous, expensive, time consuming, buearocratic farce in the history of the world. Ever.

Um it might be "just a stadium" to you. But to me and the rest of NSC im guessing its a little more important then that.
