Would Fabian Hurzeler be a good replacement for RDZ?

This is a proper unknown. He did a great job in a short stint at St Pauli and that's all we really have to go by.

I suspect the club will be giving him a lot of support, and look to develop him as a manager, considering his age and experience.
At least he isn't called Graham and comes from Birmingham.

Well, it seems that some are perhaps overly excited as they won’t be seeing Graham Potter come through the door. We will see what happens here with Hurzeler - like you say, an unknown for the Premier League.

Thank you. :drink:

Nothing like beating the sports pundits and “experts” at their own game eh? 😉

I’m thrilled to be honest (and not because I picked him as my personal choice to replace RDZ) but because it affirms my love and faith in TB and PB to make what I genuinely thought was such a perfect appointment for us - after De Zerbi, whom so many of us believed was a ‘one in a million talent“ we’d never find again, we just got the one person that not only was inspired by De Zerbi ball but has apparently fixed it’s inherent weaknesses both in attack and defence and will put Brighton right back in the centre of media attention again next season, not just because pundits will be watching the youngest manager in the Premier League but because our football will flow again.

My next prediction (😂)

Gross is going to love him if he stays.
Baleba I think could be the break out player as a CB/DMF
Barco, Hinshelwood and Mitoma will be in their element with his wide system of play (and hopefully Osman).
Verbruggen will become one of the best GK’s in Europe because FH loves a GK that can play football
Welbz will love that he is exactly what FH likes in a striker - (clinical and can hold up play)
Pedro will just be loved
Ferguson will find his confidence again with a younger manager

Happy Clappy now - plenty of time for negative thinking next season 🙂
I’m loving your positivity and well done on the scoop. And I love Danny Welbeck. But he is most definitely not ‘clinical’!

I’m assuming you went large on this appointment?

Hurzeler could have attended our last season at Withdean on a child's ticket.

Maybe it will, maybe it won't - but it's looking like 'will' at the moment. Fair enough, good luck to him (and us). I was never in the Potter, Potter, Potter! camp, but I wouldn't have minded at all if that happened. No worries, Fabian Hurzeler it is (pray for Warren though!) - will get behind him all the way (unless or until he f***s up of course).
Huerzeler's blue and white army, YAY!

But one thing I won't be doing: trawling through the keyboard short-cuts to find out how to do a f***in' umlaut!

When his name first cropped up, I thought he might be a tad inexperienced. But with all the other names tossed about maybe he wouldn't be a bad choice as you can't get experience without at least trying the job.
I'm probably on the side of if he doesn't get the job now, I'll be quite disappointed!
