This is interesting....
There are two key difference between the way Hurzeler and De Zerbi play. The first is formation. DeZerbiBall was at its most successful with a 4-2-3-1. Hurzeler in contrast favours a Graham Potter-esque 3-4-3 with wing backs rather than wingers.

How that translates to a Brighton squad whose most dangerous players are out-and-out wingers will be interesting to see in the event of Hurzeler being offered the Albion job.

I think another of the (many) potential candidates mentioned had done similar (Drapić?).

I think it's just that other managers & coaches visit Lancing to see how we do things. They'll have a tour of the facilities, observe sessions, chat to staff etc for a bit of knowledge sharing.
I have no idea how often it happens, but I love that coaches from other countries who want to learn from the best see Brighton as a stop on their learning journey.

Maybe it's all part of TB & PB's master plan - helping put the club at an advantage because some of the up-and-coming coaches on 'The List' have already been impressed by the facilities, players, staff... it must be great PR within the wider football industry, if nothing else.

I’m not getting carried away, but this might be the MOST rock and roll of appointments… 🎸

For me this is a bit like when Ritchie Blackmore left Purps (the first time, ahem) and up rocked this young gun from the US … Tommy Bolin… sure it ended in a drug addled sea of coke and heroin… but when it cooked, it really cooked…

Some will call for Ritchie, some will never get it… but if you open your ears to the groove, you’ll be dancing to the rock and roll before you know it! 🎸🎸🎸🎸

Oh yes indeedy…

So Bolin's the flash of brilliance that was RDZ, and Blackmore was Potter....................

.................Hmmm - Blackmore came back, didn't he.

He did indeed…

Perfect Strangers… it was what it was.

By then he had the wig… the magic had gone, but they were awesome on that live tour.

Who knows, watch out Tony… you never know who might be knocking on your back door … 😂🎸

This is interesting....
Agreed.

He appears more pragmatic than RDZ though, so hopefully he realises that if Mitoma’s fit, any formation we play has to maximise his talents, which is ultimately when we are set-up to have him getting into 1 on 1s out wide.

So, was Glenn Murray joining Palace Ian Gillan's ill judged spell with Sabbath? Who's David Coverdale? Big Dan Burn? If Dunky is Roger Glover, is he leaving us to join De Zerbi's new team? I'm confused. (If slightly relieved that this metaphor isn't based on the Fall).

They're also going to have to get to grips with a u with an umlaut

I'm used to it after living in Estonia for 3 years now. U is pronounced ooh and Ü is like u in up

They're also going to have to get to grips with a u with an umlaut

Brighton factually.....
Regardless of the manner of his leaving did you dislike Potter when he was with us, and, at the time, took us to our highest ever league position (9th) ?
Yeah, I never took him personally, just something about him apart from being really dull I did not like.
