It is ridiculous.

Last season they finished 14th with 42 points, 14 off Europe. This season, they are 9th on 55 points and 7 off a European place. Whilst he has spent heavily (£32m), it seems that some owners do not understand the ideal that new players and effectively a new team take a while to gel and find a level of consistency. Perhaps his saving grace would have been sub-par performances at the start of the season with a late charge up the table.

Far too many trigger happy chairmen. But then, the premier league would not be where it is today without all this investment, so the whole shambolic league shall reap what they sow.
