English National Alliance to march on Brighton

From their Facebook page:-

"We are heading for Brighton and marching in defence of our right to be English

We are going on Bank Holiday Monday under an English National Alliance banner with all activist groups and political parties that are non racist welcome to join us to protest against the militant students and attacks on industry in the region by Palestinian militants and socialist extremists to support the English people of the region against the constant anti English activities in the area.

Anti English activities and militant students need to know their place and this march is to state we want the authorities to deal with them firmly. No more attacks on English patriots, celebrating events, no more attack on English Companies and no more support of Palestinian terrorists through the Universities

The march through the City will end up in a park with a rally and prominent person making speeches".

It seems odd to target Brighton students on an August Bank Holiday Monday.

And since when has EDO (ITT Corporation) been an "English company"?

Great so the Anti Nazi League or whoever are going to turn up, why ? What is the point ? They are just as bad because they want a confrontation. If they just let ENA do their thing nobody would notice.

I guess their thinking is that if noboy opposes racist groups they begin to appear more legitimate.

Because obviously anyone who does not look English has nothing to fear from a pissed up mob of racist twats ?

There have been several cases where the government have used people to incite some situations over the years, this tactic has been used many times in the USA

I was at the station on my way to a gig in London on the Sunday morning they did this in April. There were about ten of them and they were all quite overweight and wearing bad checked shirts and jeans that weren't really well-fitting but didn't look comfortable enough to pass for baggy either, or three-quarter length shorts with Umbro trainers. I thought they were Bristol Rovers fans, we'd played them the previous day. Overall I felt a bit sorry for them. Doubt anyone in Pavilion Gardens gave a f***, they were more likely to have been offered houmous sandwiches and grapes or spoonfuls of Pompoko takeaways than fisticuffs and ra-ra.

Two things, firstly what makes you so sure that they will be a 'mob of pissed up racist twats' ? Secondly what makes you think that the opposition will be any better ? More people will be interested when said confrontation takes place and what good will opposing these people do ? Those who agree with them still will and in fact any confrontation will only make such minded people even more entrenched in their views.

The Police will be expected to get between them where both sides will acuse them of being heavy handed.

Maybe someone should tell them that the students are not back until September. It is a bit weird that they seem to hate students so much.

You're not wrong...I just wish they'd rearrange it for a time when most people have got nowt to do, maybe a lunchbreak in central Brighton? Watching fat people fight is brilliant, watching fat people who are definitely idiots do it would be unmissable.
