No you don't - an NSC piss up is far more exciting.

I know! I just haven't come up with an excuse yet.

He's not a particularly close cousin. I think if I say my best mate is getting married that day I might get out of it.

I was thinking of that early. Sounds good to me. We need some music and a dance floor though. Get everyone grooving! Could we get our own DJ and keep going till the early hours?

You need a licence for that. Unlikely to get one for a load of drunk football fans?

I'll dj!

I've been to a family christmas get together in Eastbourne before. We had a few drinks, then a meal and then a DJ all night.

I'm sure it can be done. I'm not suggesting we all sit down for a meal though!

We're all eating a Turkey Christmas lunch?

Except me of course, I'll just have vegetables.

Good call - only trouble might be transport home on a Sunday.

As the REMF game is usually in the afternoon surely we could all recover from the night before there on the Saturday ?

Has Safeway not sorted it out yet? Feckin' useless that lad...

We could up the stakes a bit and go for some sort of end of season meal type thing. Possibly two options:

i) Donatello or similar restaurant type of thing. Not too formal, and quite fun.

ii) Slightly more formal hotel function room type meal. Not as formal (or expensive) as the club meals at The Grand though. Not sure if anyone here ever went to the Scars & Stripes meal or the similar Gulls Eye meals before it - but something like that maybe. They seemed to work well. For something like this, it would be easy to have a DJ/disco type thing happening after the meal and in all likelihood a licence beyond 11pm.

Or, of course, there is the tried and tested pub piss up...

I think in honour of Buzza we should have the meet up at Donatellos.

I was waiting for that one Chappers!!:lolol:

I'm definitely up for another meet.

If it's on The REMF Sunday, I will need to book the following day as leave (and probably the Tuesday as well to be on the safe side) for health reasons!:drink:
