Our record at the Etihad
3-1
2-0
1-0
4-0
1-0
3-0
3-1
2-1

so scoring 2, getting a draw and taking 4 points off of the league champions is good, in my book.
It is good, yes, but that's still not to say we shouldn't have come away with all 3pts today, based on how the game went.

Records mean nothing really. They're there to be broken, and we've been breaking those records consistently in recent seasons, including this one (y)

Chances mean nothing unless you put them away. There are chances in every game.

Rejoice in the point, instead of complaining about what could have been (Not you personally)

I hate these threads, as both are true and false at the same time.

But given the opposition, away from home - it is definitely a point gained.

Baleba & Minteh really should have scored their sitters,. so in that respect it is two points dropped.

Can't decide this ridiculous poll, so I've spoiled my vote.
How does one spoil one's vote when there isn't an option to squiggle all over it ?

I wasn't there. But I voted two points dropped because I wanted to see and believe that Albion had actually dropped two points at Manchester City

Very true, regarding putting chances away.

As you say, I'm certainly not complaining.

What's pleasing is that the players and manager are also not complaining, but do think we deserved all 3pts today.

You can add Rutter to the post match interview players saying they're disappointed with only the one point. (y)

This is EXACTLY what we want to hear, and he nails it with the word ambition.

Great performance today, and not a criticism at all to say we should have got all 3pts. Just us and the team finally kicking the imposter syndrome. Who gives a fvck if it's Citeh away. The players don't!
That’s absolutely the mentality the players should have. Supporters will be different, but also should respect eachothers opinions. For me it’s a great point in a very open close game we probably just shaded.

So, they have it as a point gained AND two points lost.

But rather typical that they choose to go with we 'held' them despite looking the more likely to win. Surely if they followed their report it should be 'Man City hold on against Brighton'?

I would’ve bitten your hand off for a draw… but we should’ve won that. So I’m torn. Point gained but how Baleba and Minteh missed those chances I can’t fathom
Both looked harder to miss than to score. Carlos was very good today though generally... Minteh a bit quieter

Watching from high up in the away end, we looked amazing, but at times so did they. Doku at times was unplayable and a complete nuisance. Although they hit the post and also missed chances, we 100% edged that as the Xg would suggest. However the truth is either side could have easily won, so we could also be currently travelling back with no points. In conclusion, it was one point gained. UTA.

Had Baleba or Hinsh scored, we might have tried to shut up shop, collapsed under the pressure and lost. You can't definitively say that we would have won had either of those gone in, it would have changed the dynamics of everything.
