Routemaster says 4 hours 9 mins, but that is dependant on the M25 and M1 being clear. Are the roadworks on the bottom of the M1 still there?

Close, but doable on the train...

West Worthing 15:01
Arrive London Victoria 16:29
Tube to Kings Cross
Leave Kings Cross 17:20
Arrive Doncaster 19:04

OR

West Worthing 15:19
Arrive Brighton 15:40
Leave Brighton 15:49
Arrive London Victoria 16:41
Tube to Kings Cross
Leave Kings Cross 17:20
Arrive Doncaster 19:04

There is also a train from Kings Cross at 17:03, which you should comfortably make, arriving in Doncaster at 18:41. Getting back to Worthing might be interesting, mind. :lolol:

Yes they are, use the M40 and cut across.

Go on it will at best be a challenge. You'll make it

Yep I will, never been before. Is there any good parking nearby? (I may not have time to search!)

Thanks good suggestion, 11 miles longer (google maps!) but probably more hassle free.

I guarantee if you leave Worthing at 15.00 you will NOT make kick off.

If you do try go Dartford way round M25 then M11, A14, A1.

Just some observations from the above You will not make it if you go: Via Dartford Tunnel to M1 or A1 as suggested by Paddy B.
Via A43 and Brackley as suggested by Dougdeep.
Or the A1 as suggested by Scotty Mac.

Your only hope is to get onto the M1 ASAP and once past Luton foot down until the M18. You should be able to sit on 79mph thus avoiding get nicked for speeding all the way from Luton to Donnie.

My nephew lives in Doncaster and his mum and dad reckon it takes them 3 hrs 30mins from Durrington leaving at a silly hour.

The A14 as suggested is a fast road with loads of speed cameras to slow you down.

How soon is now?

What Bens grandad says - there are horrific roadworks on the M25 between junction 5 and the Dartford Tunnel. We went that way a few weeks back and it was 2 hours from J5 before we finally went through the tunnel. M40 way is a safe bet, but I don't fancy your chances on the M25 though

Good luck, it sounds like you've really picked one there!!!
