Why only open it at 1. There is normally a 12.30 match on T.V that people like to get to see. In fact I was talking to some guy's that came down from Ldn who specifcally got there early to see the Rangers game. when they asked to but the 2nd half on, the staff couldn't find the remote! And whilst on here, I think it's a bit poor that Kids are not allowed in.

I got to sample Dick's yesterday.

There was a queue but it moved pretty quickly, presumably on a 1 in 1 out basis.

So, even though it was at capacity, there was loads of room in there - it was as far as a place could be from a raucous, rammed football pub.

Oh, and there were loads of kids in there too.

Actually yes it was. I had a pint in there before and after the game which I wasn't expecting to be able to do so easily.

Great place to be with half the tellys on Sky Sports News so I could keep up with the cricket and the other half streaming the pre match goings on.

Saw the stewards refusing entry to a few chaps with kids but nobody got funny. As expected it really wasn't a place for children.

Did anyone stick around for the Piranhas?

There is certainly loads of room at a 250 capacity, isn't there - and the queues were fine, we got in after a 5 minute wait after the game. Be interesting to see whether they are longer next week. Piranhas playing next Sat, 7pm.
One amusing beer fact - having got the Dark Star pump system installed and sorted out, Elliott Moore ordered 2 9s of Hophead - 144 pints. 'We'll see how it goes' he said. I predicted it would 'go' 23 minutes after opening time! Anyone know how long it lasted? There will dfinitely be more ordered next week

Went in after the game, thought it was good. A couple in my group didn't really like it, too airport like apparently, but I enjoyed my time in there. Probably won't use it before the game, but will definitely make a habit of using it after while the train queue dies down

As a comparison children are allowed in the members only fan bar at Schalke, despite it getting quite lively in the after match, and young families usually gather (early) in the seated area where Mum looks after the kids and Dad socialises with his mates. (Or the other way round.) The kids are well behaved usually sitting bored playing with their phones, or other such toys, you don't really notice they are there. What we do have, which is a bit of a winner in summer, is an outside overspill area with stage, which is great for a party.

If any of the families became a problem they would be asked to leave pretty quickly and have their card cancelled, but it simply never happens.

Loads of kids in Dicks Bar on Saturday which was nice to see. Bet the club sold loads of fizzy pop.
