Are you having a laugh its only the second league game, a lot of people held off their holidays for the donny match and are probably away now.

Its going to happen. We shouldnt expect maximum gates every week or we will be disappointed. As long as theres a decent crowd to make some noise and the club are getting the money in for the tickets, im happy.

Come September, we'll see the true hardcore.
Plenty of empty 1901's, who are paying all that money! Wonder if many of these had no real interest in our club, but just jumped on the bandwagon last winter?

Hopefully over 2 or 3 seasons, only real fans of the club are left, with genuine fans replacing the above.

Come September we'll see nothing of the sort, as our two home games are Leeds & Palace.

Personally I see nothing wrong with the odd new fan, how inward looking (& dare I say it, snobbish) to suggest we only want "real" supporters. How does a club ever expand with only "real" supporters allowed in? For the last 14- in fact significantly longer- seasons, we'd have bitten anyone's hand off for a crowd of nearly 20,000. It amazes me how some people want to find a reason to criticise things at every opportunity. Whatever happens, we'll have the largest percentage increase on our crowds of any club in this league this season. Nothing to gripe about there, get a grip.

I take on board that the club have a block or two that they give out as freebies but GIVE them out then because the block in the east nearest the away fans was less than half full.It might be that they will distribute them around schools when term starts but until then sell the bloody things and dont put up SOLD OUT signs up on the internet..

Part of the reason for the low attendance is due to American Express. We have a block put aside in West Lower near North Stand. These only got offered to staff start of this week for £30 a pop. Im sure most employees that wanted to go would have already purchased a ticket - hence the big gap

I get the feeling it will get a lot lower. It's a piss take really. I'm sure there are fans desperate to get to games. I bet a few people got an ST just to make sure theyre at donny. So what good is adding 8000 more seats if fanbase was there for novelty?

Will always be a number of empty seats in the 1901. My company my mate works for has 4 seats and he reckons they will only be used for about 50% of the games and they are not offering them to their employees to use, just clients.
