A couple of LibDem MPs have said that they felt unable to sign the EDM because it would look like disloyalty to Baker. The only ones to sign are Oaten who is on his way out and Hancock who is a strong character and a keen football fan. Baker has successfully pressured all the rest to keep quiet or support the fight against the stadium.
One assumes that he has done a lot to support Lewes DC behind the scenes.
