I'm all for the exotic wording.

Stand or fall in Italian is (hopefully) cavalcare o cadere. In French, monter ou baisser. Latin equitare uel cadere.

Well done @Hamilton for firing up the debate SB was hoping for.

+1 for Ride or Fall and Allez Albion
My mistake, surely that's way too wordy?.

So far I think the short list should be:-
RIDE or FALL
or
ALLEZ ALBION.

We could have 'pretentious Moi' on the back

Anyone advise on good handlebar tape. Is the cork stuff on eBay any good.

Thanks in advance.

I like the Bontrager bar tape because it is nice and stretchy but most brands seem to have that quality bar a few unfortunate exceptions. I can't remember which ones off the top of my head though. Personally I wouldn't buy off eBay, bar tape is not so expensive that you are saving a significant amount anyway. Go in to a shop and have a look, that way you can get an idea of the look, feel and thickness of the tape.

Will this be the first time you have fitted your own bar tape?

One final thing, if you come home with some of this

I won't be helping you any further. :nono:

ooohhh maaaaammmaaaaa

I thought explicit images like that were now banned, due to Google's advertising revenue being at risk.

CYCLING CAPS PROVISIONAL ORDER FORM
Can you please keep quoting this one post when adding your name, so it becomes a 'mailing list'.

I'm still not going to commit 100% to the venture.
As this list grows, I'll start putting stuff together.
A couple of days before I'm on the phone shaking and sweating with my credit card in hand, if your names on this list expect a PM which will be your official order confirmation.

Half way chaps.
6 more to go and I'll pull my finger out.

We still need side panel writing.

SUSSEX by the SEA.

RIDE OR FALL.

(track) STAND OR FALL.

Surely we can do better?

I'll commit to one. Am in the market for a cycling cap right now. Good work.

There should be one thing on the cap that is unambiguously Albion imho. Sussex by the Sea, maybe. Or 'Stand or Fall' - I don't think it needs adapting to be cycling-specific; it's a really proud phrase.

I don't often visit this thread tbh. Have you discussed getting cycling tops? I'm pretty sure I did a draft design a few months (a year?) ago to see if anyone was interested. Didn't get any reaction at the time ...

I was thinking of using cork as an 'underlay', for a white cotton retro classic tape.
But that's still a way off.

And on another topic, is anyone else here doing the Dunwich Dynamo this year? This'll be my third time; it's the best fun I ever have on a bike.

Sounds brilliant! Thanks for posting.

I think I read about this in the Guardian or something a while back.

Everyone seems to be trying to get me to ride 120 miles at the moment, hey @Pogue Mahone!! (yes I am going to sign up for The Long One, and I think @Spreadbetting Seagull is as well. We're going to need to stick together to get round it, 7000+ ft of climbing!)
