Crime Maps - how grim is your neighbourhood?

Destiny's piles

I Drink therefore I am
I've just put my Durrington postcode into the crime map on police.uk

The results came back -

10 Burglary

106 Anti-social behaviour

7 Vehicle crime

26 Violent crime

51 Other

Don't know what I was expecting, but it's given my wife ammunition in her 'I want to move argument'. FFS :glare:

Anyone else had a look at theirs?

Where was your last place, BoF? It sounds right charming!

Mine (Northcote, Battersea, Wandsworth Borough Council, London):

Burglary 53
Anti-social Behaviour 286
Robbery 34
Vehicle crime 76
Violent crime 85
Other crime 215

Sounds bad, but we do have Clapham Junction within our ward, and the Grand nightclub, which I guess account for a large proportion of the crime, though there has been a spate of violent robberies recently. Vehicle crime - no wonder my car insurance has gone up 25% over the past year.

In Sussex with Mum and Dad near Sharpthorne (Forest Row ward, Wealden District Council):

Burglary 2
Anti-social Behaviour 1
Robbery 0
Vehicle crime 0
Violent crime 1
Other crime 0

Well our nearest house (apart from our neighbour) is 0.2 miles away. My do I pay for being honest about where I normally keep my car.

Jesus, those figures above are terrible.

My postcode had 1 anti-social behaviour and 1 buglary recorded.

I was living with a friend and her two flatmates, only a spell of two months. Just down the road from Brixton Academy.

I'm not sure how accurate the figures are. Withdean Stadium scores 0 and we have been robbed at least twice this season.

Refs and the Old Bill are on the same side, though, aren't they?

7 burglaries, 9 x violent crime and 1 robbery in my native little area of Shoreham Beach, quite astonishing.
