It's just how it is I am afraid. The offer is restricted to the family stand and it has to be good it is sold out for the future of the club. Yeah, maybe they could make an exception, but then that is unfair on anyone else who has paid the full price.

It is how it is, but it shouldn't be like that. We had about 6700 there today so someone in the ticket office surely could have made a decision that we were not going to sell out, and still sold a full price and £1 option somewhere else in the ground.
Who cares if it is fair to anyone else, no-one sitting around these supporters would have known how much they paid and we would have had another young fan in the ground. I don't care what other people have paid to get in as long as there as many people in the ground as possible.

Why cant the club sell a £1 seat for a child with a full paying adult in a part of the ground that has seats vacant on a Saturday morning if the family stand is full. It is 2 seats sold that would have been empty and people wouldnt deliberately leave it late as they cannot be sure that the family stand is sold out or where they will be put.

I think that from next season they should look to implement the suggestion made by BG, that any seats left unsold on a Saturday could sold in some kind of kids for a quid situation.

However, you can understand the frustration of anyone who has paid full price for a child's ticket. You can't start adapting rules part way through the season just because of personal circumstances.

Sorry, Has everyone gone mad. Why do people think the club owes them a favour? If you fancied a gig or the theatre at short notice & couldn't get the tickets you wanted you wouldn't make a fuss, you would buy more expensive tickets or you wouldn't go.
Why is it always the clubs fault?

It is not the case of a favour but selling something that would have been unsold and therefore making more money that they wouldnt have done.

Then you may get the situation whereby people who pay on a weekly basis and go with the little ones in the south stand all waiting until Saturday morning to get their cheap deals and the club get less revenue.

Marketing is never easy to call.

.

That wouldnt happen because if as people expect next season is going to be succesful we may well have sold out if you left it until 11.30 on a Saturday morning.

They could set the price at £5 for an accompanied child under 12, which is cheaper than normal but more expensive than to buy a ticket before Saturday

Perhaps you can tell the club about your marketting ideas? Don't forget to tell Gus your thoughts on Kazenga as well :glare:

Is this not a website where fans can express their views. If somebody associated with the club reads spomething and feels that it is a good idea no doubt they would follow it up. This in my personal view in both cases nobody is saying it is 100% correct or foolproof.

Goodfella, sorry the game did not have a happy ending but hope you both enjoyed it. look on the good side, the weather was nice!

As for spaces in the family stand, I had 4 freebies but the 2 little un's sat on us so that was 2 spare seats plus they and their mum went at half time as they were really too young to sustain interest for a whole 90 mins. Something I've struggled to do too.

Not many clubs sell childrens tickets for £1. in fact if your daughter is part of Gully's gang you will realise how much the club does for young people wanting to support the Seagulls.
£14.50 sounds like a fair price for a child's ticket!

Why not sell all unsold tickets from noon on saturday for 10p each? That way the club will make more money than it would have done if they went unsold...
