Goodwin's day, I think, given the circumstances. He dug in and survived against some tight Nottinghamshire bowling and fielding. There was the odd scare and by no means was it a fluent 50, but let's hope it heralds a return to confidence.

Given themselves a slight chance here. I liked last nights session, thought we played the ball well just nudging the ball around and taking singles, our problem with trying to achieve a draw is we only have Ben left to try and hold the fort.

Disappointing batting on the whole, more patience needed. Notts showed how you could play slow and wait your chances, lets hope we learn and the batsmen learn to make okay scores into very good ones i.e 50's into 150's..
