Kevin Howells of the BBC said the pitch was two-paced and could be a bit troublesome later. Sounds like 300+ isn't a bad score

Been there all day, its the same strip that was used against Yorkshire.
Bit of pace in it but Robbo reckons there are a few cracks and if the sun keeps shining, these will open a bit.
Nash and right batted beautifully, no slogging, just good cricket shots, and apart from one real good over by Phillips when he went past the bat 2-3 ties, and then had Nash dropped by the slips, chance less innings.
Wright was bowled and he turned to walk off, but the bails didnt come off, either they jumped and fell back into position or they didnt dislodge.
Joyce played a wrash shot, Gatting was looking so good it was a surprise that he holed out to Patel. He really is developing into a good batsman, but need to cut out the sloppy shots and be more patient.
Muzza coming in 18 minutes before lunch, looked like a wicket walking, edged to slip and the maestro trudged off, he needs to tell Robbo that he wants dropping, cos I dont think Robbo will drop him, cos you know there is always another ton around the corner
Didnt see Yardy's run out,was still in the Cricketers beer garden.
Nash's wicket looked as if it kept a bit low, Wright had another ton at his mercy but hit it staight to short mid wicket.
Patel seemed the most threatening, so 305-9 is not bad considering how many didnt reach double figures.
Good pace and line and Monty's bowling could make this a close game
