I realise that, and the point that I was making is that it is actually the MDMA that caused my problems, not the impurities. As I say my situation is known to be caused by MDMA itself, as well as other hallucinogens (particularly LSD).

MDMA isn't a hallucinogen, it's a synthesized amphetamine.

Agree that John Snow would be a quality watch on it.

Also, that female Priest saying she felt detached from God on it? We've found a cure to theism!

It isn't a hallucinogen in the same sense that LSD is, for example, but you can hallucinate from it and it therefore can be classified as a hallucinogen.

Cannabis can also be classified as an hallucinogen even thought it isn't really thought of in this way.

I think the fact that the subjects were in a machine for the onset makes the experiment a little bit unfair.

If they were in a club or with friends , there would be a lot less negativity to report! Rather than in a claustrophobic chamber.

Is that how they did it FFS

You need stimulation otherwise you just feel paranoid and ill. I've done pills in someone's front room and felt claustrophobic before.

Brave New World Revisited

Better than Question Time but it was the same boring format and had some interesting bits and I watched to get informed as I do not know about the pharmaceutical from practical experience. Brain chemistry is hard to work out as well.

The judges and the guards comprise 45% of the population so it will never become legal as rationality does not rule the world. The do see it as a potential cure for PTSD when the brain chemistry alters. Brain chemistry probably alters when a GOAL is scored! Ecstasy is for forwards. If defenders get too excited the other side equalises immediately afterwards.

The answer is unlikely to be found in a pill ??? More likely if people had decent homes to live in.

Hallucinations or just sense distortion ?

I never worked out the effect of too little or too much serotonin?

Not the real one
I loved E's I wasn't really into the acid house stuff but I'd take them for a lot of other stuff. Gigs were better and louder, more colourful. Anything that was an experience was enlightened. I had a lot of wild club and party nights on them. Best drug ever, coke is for cocks, weed is for wasters, E's are for excellent people.

Edited to add;

Or so it was. I have absolutley no idea what the drug scene is like now. I only remember at the beginning half a pil was enough to blow your mind, then a whole one, then 2, 4, 8. I think once I took 7 in one night! So the point of what the hell they mix them with is of great concern. I mean they dilute the stuff with crap, that's what the big worry is.
I have kids now and when they are of going out age in a few years, there is no way I will go easy on them if they've had a pill or anything else, it's the shit that they fill them with that can kill you, that goes for most drugs. Also it isn't a thing you need in your life. It is trouble.

My particular situation (see above post) is known to be caused by hallucinogens (of which MDMA is) - so whether it was pure or not was not relevant - I was genetically susceptible either way.

I have over a dozen permanent visual symptoms as result of MDMA, the most prevalent of which is this: Visual snow - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As someone who suffers from visual snow too, there are potentially dozens of causes for it. When I first complained to the Doctor about it in 1994 I was sent to a specialist who didn't believe me and gave me eye drops. There is very little understanding on the subject. They don't really know what causes it, so I'm surprised you're able to narrow it down to LSD type drugs.

Having said that, in my case I was guilty of doing some LSD, but only in small amounts

In the last couple of years pills have got good again (e.g rockets that a mate has got - 1 or 2 completely f*** you), but the price has gone up. For a while, about 2006ish-2010ish, they went really shit because alot of the base ingredients which they used to make MDMA were imported from China and China basically made it harder to export it. Not sure how the gangs that make them have got round it. Incidentally the same thing is happening at the moment with ketamine, alot of it was imported from India which they have now banned causing it to be harder to get hold of and more expensive over here.

I've never really understood the "it's the other shit that goes in them argument". The people who make them, mostly east european gangs I'm lead to believe, are churning out thousands of pills in a batch. For them it's an investment so they're not going to start chucking stuff in that kills loads of people because word would spread pretty quickly and nobody would buy them. That said, whatever they use as a cheap binding agent might not do you any good but as with most chemicals as long as you're not doing an absolute tonne of it your body is pretty good at getting rid of harmful substances - just look how much noxious gas smokers put in their bodies for decades and the majority can cope for quite a long time.

To be fair despite that, 24/25 reported positive experiences. The anomaly was the guy who had military training to resist drug intoxication... go figure.
Should have shown him this, he'd have been flying....[yt]l7hLp_FEHoI[/yt]

I've only had a strong coffee, and I'm off my tits watching that :lolol:
