First time I saw him yesterday and I know it was only a warm up, but my word he looked poor.
He didnt dive, shots went through and and thumbled almost everything.

From what I saw yesterday he could have had a brick wall behind him and he would still let in goals - Mcghee aint great at finding Keepers is he!

Agreed. This is the man who chose Roberts over Kuipers. ;)

he is superb at getting keepers - not only that decision, but not forgetting blayney, and henderson now looks sound

Blayney was a good find so was Henderson in my view.

Lets not start that again..... :lolol:

His record is ok imo:
Yelldell- poor, but was second choice to Henderson and was needed at short notice.
Shabaan- average, an improvement on Yelldell and held us over til be got Blayney, who was obviously excellent.

Add in Henderson who does look to be becoming a good signing, Chaigneau hasn't looked great but has only played one match....

Also we tried to get Ian Bennet in on loan last season who is a good keeper.

I still think we should have broken the bank for Blaney.

I hope we dont come unstuck when Herederson goes back to the villa

how long is he here for, another two months? Apparently Kuipers will make his reserve comeback within a month.

Blayney is still third choice at Southampton, and is out of contract in the summer....

Maybe we should try and sign Henderson on a perm deal?...

I'm not sure he will if Kuipers gets fit and we've got Chaigneau as back up. Wouldn't suprise me to see Henderson or Blayney join permanently at the end of the season though.

You just get the feeling that Mcghee doesnt rate Kuipers - He tried to off load him and when had options picked others ahead of him.

It was nothing to do with money and everything to do with Redknapp farting around because of the Niemi situation. A price was agreed but Saints decided they couldn't rik letting him go.

When he tried to offload him, as you put it, he'd never seen him play, he'd just come back from injury- was it the car crash?

I do feel that MM would prefer a new number one though...

What you on about? He lauded him with praise last season. Roberts was preffered in his 1st season when Michel had a slight dodgy game at Peterborough and Mcghee didnt know either keeper.

Which other keeper has he picked in front of him? Kuipers is MILES better than henderson is right now.

For some reason you always have to run the dutchman down.
