im biased (yes you can slate me for it) but i honestly believe arsenal would be a FAR better choice. Freeman, when leaving gillingham, has scally saying he would not have let him join anyone in the top four other than arsenal.
Walcott may have developed slower than hoped but he has improved so much this last 8 or so months.
clichy, fabregas, both joined young and are examples of what can be achieved.
Yep you're right. Young players with potential have never really flourished at United. Just look at Ronaldo...
Not sure about the Arsenal idea, they hardly have a track record for giving a chance to young British talent. The young players who've broken into the first team squad are frequently from France, Spain or Africa.
"Far better" my arse. It won't make jack shit difference which of those two teams he goes to. He won't get more than a cameo appearance in the important matches for at least two years at either club.im biased (yes you can slate me for it) but i honestly believe arsenal would be a FAR better choice. whereas young players are always getting a chance at Arsenal- Bentley, Sidwell, Upson...
bently was behind bergkamp and pires....i know which i would chose
sidwell was behind vieira, petit, flamini, fabregas and now is in chelsea reserves.
upson was behind COUNTLESS defenders and is now an england starlet...oh hang on.
good examples though.
They'd all be in the first team squad now.
