Ooh, I was there. Found the band at a restaurant afterwards. Have pictures of them all except the Big Man, plus a picture of me and Bruce, plus Pete Townsend. And all their autographs in the Dave Marsh book.

Bizarre thing was then driving home along the seafront, and seeing Bruce walking all alone in front of the Brighton Centre, back to his hotel. Can you imagine that now? I was totally in awe in those days, and he's been a hero ever since.

Bruce battled manfully against flu (or maybe end of tour tiredness)- well it seemed like that to me and the absolutely shite acoustics. The first seven songs or so were "muddy" in the extreme acoustically but "Because the night" really started the fire with some guitar pyritechnics from Nils Lofgren. Yet another good night in the company of Bruce Springsteen but, to my mind, Paris on the "Rising" tour was the best I have ever seen him in the company of the E Street Band.
