The way they treat people.....invading their peace, lives and own privacy...giving people false hope...,shoving camera's in any one half famous and trying to humiliate them.

Goading people to actually come up with any dirt on anyone they can...caring not one little bit who they hurt and who they stamp on..just aslong as they get their story.

Trying to ruin peoples careers..simply for a 2 page speacila that might sell an extra few papers...

Also the fact a family member of mine had a real rough time with a paper once....and it wasnt a nice exp...they print whateever you tell them...and it aint on..

I think of it as tall poppy syndrome, they build someone up only to bring them down.

They initially created the McCann's as whiter than a loaf of Hovis and it's all those nasty sweaty portugese polices fault, but then have decided to round on them after all.

Hovis is quite brown with lots of bits in though. And the crusts are quite chewy.

That is all.

But that's about the same as saying all people who believe is some god or higher being are mad because they believe in something which there's no proof exists. They follow strange and illogical dogma as they have a book that tells them they should.

Mind you some on the media are scum yes ...... Can't make sweepping generalizations in either case can you ?

I'm British and "media". Today I wrote a story about a doctor who's invented special ear implants to stop people with big ears looking silly.

I don't call that being scum. I call that serving the great British public.

I'm a photographer, and I have worked in the media.
I think (I hope) the original rant was aimed at the "paparazzi", who, on the whole, are scum.

There are however a lot of newspaper photographers that are certainly not scum.
They cover genuine news stories, sports and all the rest of the non "celebrity shite".

We've got to know a few motorsports reporters and photographers and can wholehearted agree that they are definitely not scum, and are in fact great guys!

Agreed the Paparazzi are scum but where does that leave the people who pay to see their efforts in the media ? If there wasn't a demand they wouldn't do it would they ?

Got my missus to stop reading Heat after they printed a picture of Owen Wilson in the new edition, not long after attempting to kill himself, getting out of a car at home holding a book. Printing a picture is bad enough but there is a flippant comment in the corner saying 'Owen was looking forward to catching up on some reading'.

Tossers.

I had some rare dealings recently with motorsport journos and photographers, and they seemed a great bunch.

There seemed to much more of a sense of a community of people who just love the sport with the specialists in that branch of journalism, they aren't simply looking to stitch people up all the time like a few (and it is only a few) football journos - not embittered old hacks, but just genuine enthusiasts.

Yes - agree completely! We had a few following us at Goodwood and one driving our car - and I got the sense they were really genuinely there for the love of it. Lucky gits - get paid to do something they enjoy!
