I went tonight, just fancied watching a game. My thoughts...

You lot are looking decent, some good football and looking pretty solid. You just need a striker. Sorry but Murray is shit. The bloke is permantly offside and couldnt hit a barn door, he had 2 great chances in the first 15 minutes and skyed them both. You looked much more dangerous when that barnes lad came on.

Southampton are shit. I mean proper shit. The colchester school of football, hoof ball to fat ricky.

You deserved to win and continue playing like that you are a striker short of promotion next season or thereabouts.

Enjoyable night and sorry to say it but didnt think the atmosphere was all that.

We have played in a shit hole for over 10 years, 3 stands have no roof, and the away section is situated 1 mile from the pitch. The atmosphere is never going to be brilliant is it?

Not that much of an atmos at the swindon away game just after xmas this season but do like your two strikers u found a real gem in austin as for murry hes def not shit and the offside thing sometimes has more to do with the player in possession, paul dickov had the same problem wen he was on loan here and as for Fat Ricky arguably the best striker in the division, better than painter, holt, baz savage and beckford

Actually you complete dork Southampton are not proper shit. Otherwise they wouldnt have the joint 2nd best goal difference, nor would they have the top 2 scorers in the League. On Sunday at Wembley they put it in towards Lambert and he won everything. The problem is they tried those tactics tonight and it didnt work. It was a tactical error. A draw was the fairest result on balance of play and under usual circumstances a point at in form Brighton would be an OK result, but at this stage its no good.

Our two worse recent performances have been tonight and against Swindon but on our day we are the best team in this league.

Crap hoofball last night. Lambert is a lumbering OAF who will spend the rest of his career bailing out League One teams who need a 20 goal tank. He will be RUBBISH in The Championship. He also elbowed El Abd in the face just after he had been lectured by the ref.

Last Sunday Southampton were poor and were lucky Carlisle decided to play defensive suicide.

Everyone with six fingers knows Southampton are really a Premiership club.

It's an approach to football which they meant their attitude to being in the Championship would directly lead them to the reason why they're in League One.

They'll wake up one day. But not yet.

Agree with this, Southampton, from management down, showed no class at all.
This club & fans think themselves superior to us in every way, yet the only way they could take us on was by leaving a foot in when tackling, punching, pushing & generally trying to bully us off the ball.
I take that as an admission that Pardew didn't think he could match us with skill & football ability.
The only comparison I can come up with is that we were like Arsenal to their Stoke city.

I am struggling with this one. It would be great to win every game, but it just doesn't happen, the next best thing you can hope for is a highly entertaining game and we got that last night. Brighton scored two superb goals and Southampton did what any supporter would want their team to do, fought for everything and refused to roll over. On balance a draw was just about right, although given the fact that Saints were the ones dishing it out, the free kick count seems to belong to a different game altogether.

What does that even mean? On our day? You are the seventh best team in this league, it is what the table shows. We are the 13th best team in this league, again the table shows this. Southampton need to realise that stuffing Walsall and Huddersfield at home is impressive but following it up with a loss at Tranmere is not. Hence 7th in the league and you won't make the play offs because you cheated.

See you next year for six points!

Maybe, just maybe Swindon and Brighton are better than you?

There are some people so thick that they dont realise that teams play better in one game than they do for another. Are we better than Norwich coz they took one point of us all season and lost to us in the JPT?

The reason were not likely to get in the playoffs (aside from the -10) is because AP took over with like a week to go before the season started. He had no time to put a team together. Hence our early season form was gash. Besides look at Swindons goal difference and also Brightons compared to ours.

All the pundits are saying we'll be the team to beat next year, and who knows some of you smaller clubs might take points of us, but in the end the cream will always rise to the top.

Including you, 'on our day we are the best team in this division'. You are 7th without your deduction. Swindon are better than you, they are 4th. Goal difference only counts after points, I suggest you look up the rules. You can't make the we had no players, took time to gel excuse. You signed a striker for a million pounds and you still won't make the play offs.

You will struggle to get out of this division next year playing like that, just as you have struggled this year irrespective of the points deduction.

No time to put a team together? As far as I can see you've had Lambert since August while the rest of your players either signed then or came down from the Championship with you. To say Pardew hasn't had time is utterly deluded. Paul Lambert took over Norwich after they lost their first game 7-1 but funnily enough he seems to have been able to put a team together pretty successfully, don't you think?

No, I think we can safely say the reason you are not likely to get in the play offs is simply because you are not good enough to. You can't even get past Colchester United (although from all accounts you do appear to be modelling your game on theirs). You must go to the same optician as Alan Pardew, my friend.

Thanks for the giggles though, see you next season

Best team in the division: my ARSE :lolol:

But 7th is a massive achievement isn't it?
