They're taking their time on them - were all the tellers out clubbing last night or something?

That's quite a high turnout for local elections isn't it? Except in our ward (Hollingdean and Stanmer) where people obviously had the same problem as me in deciding which particular shower of shite to vote for.

Count started at 9am.

Yes, I know but that's three hours on a turnout that's about half that of a general election (and they're not waiting for the ballot boxes to be delivered either) - that's slow going.

More than expected turnout in my neck of the woods too - presumably the referendum was something of a draw

Actually the turn out was much higher - I was looking at Hollingbury and Stanmer and assuming that the turnout would be a bit higher in other parts. It's a lot higher: it's more like 42% turnout

Moulsecoomb & Bevendean is the lowest.

I voted yesterday but nearly smacked the woman in front of me for having a CHAT to the women giving out the ballot papers, they were taking for a good minute whilst four of us waited in the queue. Only when I mentioned to the guy behind about voting taking a while did they realise it was probably best not to have that particular conversation at that time.

Is there any situation deemed unfit by women for a quick chat?
