There's no doubt that there is also an HGV driver shortage (but not petrol shortage) in mainland Europe. Our shortage is the worst, though, exacerbated by Brexit... bloody Brexit indeed! Do you remember when we were told how much better things would be by now (having left the EU). Most commentators have stopped saying that at least.....

Poor old Berty is mixing up his Apples and Oranges, this is a shortage at one supermarket chain due to industrial action. Plenty of other supermarket's in Belgium to choose from such as the Delhaize group and Colruyt ( Who do some fantastic deals on Belgian beers btw) and plenty of petrol to travel to them too.

Congratulations you have identified a Brexit benefit. Unfortunately, the exodus of HGV drivers from Britain back to the EU is a Brexit benefit to them, not us

Agreed, it makes no real difference in the grand scheme of things, but it is enlightening watching those stalwarts of Brexit fall by the wayside, leaving (mostly) the flotsam and jetsam trying to pretend that all is fine and dandy.
