Oh sweet irony, as your previous post served as a fine example of his description.

Perhaps you should try reading the thread before hitting your keyboard and making a twunt of yourself. It had been agreed that fascism and communism resemble each other. It's just left wingers like shouting fascist because communist is a bit too long for them to remember!

IF WE WANTED FREE MOVEMENT WE WOULD HAVE STAYED IN THE EU, THE VOTE WAS OUT SO MAKES SENSE TO END FREE MOVEMENT ............
Is the wrong answer.

While I'm sure many leavers wanted to end free movement, not all of them did.

Just like Norway?

Yep that country that complies with free movement and they pay in the same amount per capita as us to get access to the single market.

It either going to be a very expensive lesson or if we're lucky just an expensive lesson, but some people will just have to learn the hard way

most i would suggest
I agree with you. But most of 51.9% is still a lot less than half of those that voted. Most people that voted don't want to end the free movement of people.

Well,as a Lib-Dem voter,I'm almost offended by that.Keep on practicing,you might grow a personality,as well as a sense of humour,as you move towards adulthood!

I think most would've recognised that it was a humorous post.........

That country that doesn't have as much leverage or bargaining power as us? Righto.

really, how have you come to that ASSUMPTION ??
You basically said the same thing. Most leavers wanted to end the free movement of people, not all. And just about all remainers don't want to end the free movement of people, as it would mean no free trade. I also posted a poll here on the subject. It's pretty clear.

Don't you think a lot of our leverage and bargaining power has evaporated with the vote? Most countries now will play hardball to benefit them not us and regardless of our relationship with them prior to this will look to make gains. The longer we hold out for a deal the harder it will get, if we get desperate and sign a bad deal, they will all fall on us like a pack of wolves.

No. It doesn't matter to the EU whether or not Norway trade with it. The EU need the UK (and vice versa). If we stopped importing from Germany and France the EU would collapse.

Now? That's always how it works. I don't understand the concept that anything's changed, that now they're going to play hardball whereas before they'd been selling themselves short. All countries fight for what's best for them. Of course they will play hard ball, so will we.

We import more from the big EU countries than we export. It is in their countries interests to play the game.

Think you will find the Germans would rather that Brits pay 10% more for Bimmers and Audi's and ship fewer than put the future of the European Union in jeopardy. We are important but not that important

they would? seemed everyone was wetting themselfs over similar prices rises two weeks ago. of course Germans wouldnt care about losing market share to UK, US or Japanese competition, its only 20% of their sales after all.

This is an arse about face argument. We make twice as many cars as the Germans these days.

Ultimately you have to look at the bigger picture anyway. Our economy is about a seventh the size of the rest of the EU, ergo we are in a weaker bargaining position. It really couldn't be simpler than that.

Absolutely. Leavers say we should put up with a little pain in the short-term, well the Germans and the rest of Europe will do the same rather than let the EU fall apart
