Johnny Byrne-The Greatest
Just noticed Mark Gall at the top there. No votes as yet but he could have been an absolute legend for us had he not been cruelly done in by an injury.
So do I. I was stewarding when he was at Brighton and he was out very early match days practicing his shooting. He would wellie them as hard as he could into the top corners - very rarely missed but I suppose it a bit easier with no defence. Still bloody impressive though.
Who was the big BLACK lad who was MUSTARD for us and went on to be USELESS everywhere else ?
Adi Akinbiyi?

And we might have stayed up that season
What about Cotterill and Moulden ? If we had been able to sign them we would have been promoted
Raphael Meade was an instant hero as he scored the first Brighton goal I saw, if I remember correctly. I think he joined a club called 'Something' Ernest after he left us.
Blimey yeah, I remember going up to Orient first game of the season and we had those two up front. That must have been 92/93 season.
Do you remember the song about him?
Oh Raphael Meade
(Oh Raphael Meade)
He is on speed
(he is on speed)
He had a line
At Half Time
Oh Raphael Meade he is on speed.
Decent enough player.
Was 92/93, real shame as they both wanted to play for us
Who was it we ended up with when they went back to their clubs? Wasn't Simon Funnell or Mark Fox was it?
Did'nt we have those Russian strikers here in the 90's?
Sergei was late 80's. Igor was 1990 I think.
