Is that because of his palace loyalty...... Oh wait he jumped ship for ££££££

My reading is that he played hardball over his contract with Steve Parish and lost, and is now putting a brave face on things. I think he is way out of his depth, but wish him well. Just so long as he stays away from the Weed.

Normally i fully agree we don't put games to bed when we should etc etc

Saturday was LITERALLY PURE BAD LUCK - completely unlucky. Anyone who wants to blame anyone (apart from Barnes for the peno maybe) is clueless IMO. We were fantastic Sat - one of our best performances at the Amex for sure. Briallint flowing football from minute 5 - 95.

Soon it will all click into place. Go back to last season we were having 4-6 shots at goal in some away games.

A good point that. We are a better side than last season and if we continue to keep improving we'll get where we want to be soon enough. Frustrating mistakes along the way no doubt but the bigger picture is we're getting better.

Correct, but that's life.Still rather watch us play the Gus way than hoofball. We may not get promoted this season but that is no loss as it gives Gus enough time to build a team to stay up in the premiership.

We constantly worry about getting cherry picked though - prem sides poaching our best players.
I hope Gus can soon iron out the wrinkles and compliment the squad with a merciless striker and a new tactic in defence. Bruno can blow hot and cold, Greer lose concentration., and we concede unnecessarily.
Something/s better change, and we can't afford to lose our better lads along the way.

I would like to see Bridcutt have a few more shots at goal.....we all know he's got a descent shot in him, he gets into some great positions just around the box, but passes instead of having a go..........

If they hadnt scored there equaliser i wonder if he would have been so charitable...spent an awful long time moaning at the 4th official re the 'handball' that led up to our goal

In fairness it was one of the most blatant handballs I have even seen.

That's the problem.

We play, out of a team of 11, 3 and half attacking players.

CMS, Buckley, Orlandi, and the half being Barnes.

Im not knocking Barnes, he does a lot of of good defensive work, especially with Painter at left back, but it does mean if Buckley, CMS or Orlanii don't score who will?

We need our midfielders, and even centre backs to start chipping in with goals.

Bruno? A strange time to state the above - Bridge has bagged a couple too.
Nope, have to join in on wanting our strikers to hit nets, not ask mids and backs to do more.

Just watched the highlights. Should have scored the pen (obviously) and the rebound should have gone right and the goal was empty. Orlandi shot on bar was stunning, Hammond shot was so close, Orlandi then should have scored a tap in, was unlucky with another shot, Hoskins was denied by a great save. Can't believe their goal, so many defenders near but none of them close enough to the player.

Still can't believe it.

why is it whenever someone suggest we need someone who can put the ball in the net, you get people blathering on about hoof ball?

Who mentioned hoof ball?

The point on Saturday was we created a miriad of chances playing Gus's style of football and missed all but one of them. Yes ok, we had a couple bounce off the woodwork ( not going in) and their keeper made five or 6 outstanding saves, but that still doesn't hide the fact that PLAYING GUS'S STYLE, we missed a hatfull of chances.

we do not need a hoofball, we need a constant goalscorer.....btw how many goals have our midfield scored this year?

7 if you count Buckley and Dobbie.

Right here, right now
I hope to be proved wrong, but I can't see who is going to score all these goals for us to thrash someone. CMS lacks support, Barnes' confidence in front of goal has vanished, the midfield players rarely get into goalscoring positions, except for Orlandi, whose luck is out ... so I presume Buckley is going to have to do it all himself.

Hoskins and Dobbie - if they ever get a run in the team!

The number of crosses that we are putting in or getting in the position to cross into the box is just crying out for an out and out striker.. This is not taking anything away from CMS etc as they would compliment that style of play .. How many times have we seen Buckley look up and is crying out for a target to cross to

Good example in the 1st half when we had a free kick, just outside the box...no-one there to play a square ball too, so they could have a shot, instead we try the cheeky little pass into the box or try to pass it to CMS or Barnes who are in the 6yard box and eventually get crowded out..
