Also last night, just flicking through the channels, on the red button BBC are showing highlights of the '94, '96 and '07 Aussie Grand Prix. '94 being the most interesting as that was the one where Schumacher took out Hill to win the World Championship.

I still say that Hill was way too far behind to make that move and was completely reckless (although I did want Hill to win). What other outcome did he expect?

Thing is these have been used for years

I have one of those attached to my hairdryer. It helps give volume and bounce.

I thought Hill was in front and Schumacher just turned into him?

I agree. He said in his interview he didn't know if he'd get another chance to get past (as he didnt know at the time Schumacher had damged his car) so he just went for it. I can understand why he went for it but I think Schumacher was a bit harshly treated in the incident with everyone saying he purposly tried to take Hill out.

Not looking good for Hamilton after the first practice session finishing 16th, although Kovalinen did well finsihing in 5th which suggests Lewis wasn't really pushing the car to the limit, or at least at the moment.

The Williams duo obviously have pace and I'd back Rosberg to win this weekend.

Results of the first practice session:

1 N Rosberg - Williams
2 K Nakajima - Williams
3 K Raikkonen - Ferrari
4 R Barrichello - Brawn
5 H Kovalainen - McLaren
6 J Button - Brawn
7 F Massa - Ferrari
8 T Glock - Toyota
9 A Sutil - Force India
10 F Alonso - Renault
11 N Heidfeld - BMW Sauber
12 J Trulli - Toyota
13 R Kubica - BMW Sauber
14 G Fisichella - Force India
15 S Buemi - Toro Rosso
16 L Hamilton - McLaren
17 M Webber - Red Bull
18 N Piquet Jr. - Renault
19 S Bourdais - Toro Rosso
20 S Vettel - Red Bull

I hope these two monosyllabic commentators are not gonna be around on race day, jeez they almost made me fall asleep with their inane dull chatting and I've only just got up. Bring back Brundle

£5 on Button to win the Champ at 13/2, would've got much better odds before the testing :(

Qualifying so far is absolutely fascinating and impossible to call, looks like being the most open race for years

Yes have to agree interesting race ahead.

Hamilton starts on 15 th position on the grid for Sundays race ,with problems with the car so can not carry on with final QF, seems he has lost drive with his car. bad day at the office.
